Rewards

Rewards are the incentives you offer to your customers to encourage them to engage with your loyalty program. You can use rewards in many ways to drive customer behavior and increase customer lifetime value. To learn how to create a reward, see our Creating a reward guide.

Rewards in Masivo

• Rewards in Masivo are distributed through campaigns.
• The amount of rewards and expiration date can be set in the campaign.
• Every reward may contain conditions that must be met to be redeemed.
• You can create as many rewards of any type as you need.
• All rewards are accumulated in the customer’s wallet.

Tier eligibility

The Tiers field in E-commerce controls who can redeem a reward. Leaving it empty allows customers in any tier, including customers without a tier. When tiers are selected, the customer’s current tier must be included. Rewards stored in wallets are snapshots: changing a reward tier scope affects an existing wallet reward only after the existing wallet update flow replaces that snapshot.

Types of rewards

In Masivo, you can create different types of rewards. Currently we support:

1. Points
2. Counters
3. Discounts
4. Gift cards
5. Products

Points

Points are usually given for purchases or other actions you want to encourage. Customers can accumulate these points and redeem them for rewards. With Masivo, you can decide how much each point is worth. For example, you can make 1 point equal to $0.10. Sometimes, you might want to have more than one currency of point. This is helpful if you want to make some rewards more special than others. One type of point might be easier to earn than the other.

Counters

A counter accumulates in the customer wallet the same way points do, but it cannot be redeemed and it has no monetary value. Use it when you need to count purchases or other actions and then check that count in a condition, without mixing the count into a points balance. Grant the counter from a campaign effect. The amount is a whole number and it is not multiplied by the order value. Expiration follows the effect: the campaign end date, one year, or a custom period. In campaign, journey, and audience conditions, use Customer counter value. It reads the wallet total for that counter. Customer points balance stays limited to points rewards.

Discounts

Discounts are a great way to encourage customers to make a purchase. You can offer discounts in many ways, such as:

• Purchase in given channel
• Purchase in given time
• Purchase higher than given amount

Gift cards

Gift cards are another great way to encourage customers to make a purchase. Gift cards are typically used as a gift for someone else, this promote your brand to new customers. In Masivo each gift card contains a code that can be redeemed in physical stores. You can configure as many gift card codes as you need. Just make sure your physical store knows how to use those codes.

Products

Product rewards are a great way to promote new products or clear out old stock. You can offer product rewards in two ways:

1. Adding a product to the order - When you want to give a free product to the customer.
2. Replacing a product in the order - When you want to replace a product in the order with a cheaper version of the same item, or if you offer the original product bundled with another for the same price.

Product rewards may have conditions that must be met to be redeemed. This is useful when you would like to offer a product reward only if the customer buys a specific product or spends a certain amount. For example:

• Buy a pair of shoes and get a free pair of socks.
• Spend $100 and get a free t-shirt.
• 2x1 on Tuesdays.
